Hackathon & Makeathon in Niš

The Pilot Supercluster of Health Tech Laboratory is organizing a hackathon and a makeathon on the topic of personalized medicine on March 18th and 19th at the Science and Technology Park in Niš.

Multi-disciplinary teams consisting of two to five members, one with experience in technology development and one demonstrating an interest in business development, are eligible to participate in the hackathon. Individuals who want to enhance their knowledge and creativity by working in a team can also apply.

At the end of the program, teams are expected to deliver an early prototype that describes the characteristics of the proposed technical solution or experiment. In addition to the competitive part, teams will also attend workshops that will help them better understand the environment in which a start-up is developed, establish their business model, and create financial structures. For the development of hardware solutions, teams will have access to laboratories in Niš, Belgrade, and Novi Sad.

The best teams can expect awards such as:

- Business mentorship with experts in the field of personalized medicine,
- Participation in the acceleration program organized by the Pilot Supercluster of Health Tech Laboratory;
- The opportunity to apply for virtual membership at NTP Niš;
- Assistance in preparing applications for support programs;
- Expert support during company registration;
- Membership in the Pilot Supercluster;
- Access to other partner programs;
- Many other valuable awards.

Teams from Niš can prepare their solutions at the Science and Technology Park, at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, as part of the Deli Space and the Academy of Technical and Vocational Professional Studies. Participants from Belgrade will have access to the Science Promotion Center, the company Polyhedra, the Pharm Print Lab research center at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade, and the premises of 3D Republic, while teams from Novi Sad will have access to necessary equipment provided by the Mejker association.

Participation is completely free and open to members of all age groups, and each team must have at least one adult member. Applications are open until February 28th at 11:59 PM by filling out the form.
